The qualified candidate will play a central role in the operations in a multi-specialty telemedicine network. Serving a key position in the organization, the Virtual Medical Receptionist/ Scheduler will manage a variety of tasks ranging from patient support to basic medical office support.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide patient support by phone or video. Engage prospective or current patients who need assistance with online registration, video operation and portal function.
  • Appointment scheduling new and established patients
  • Insurance verification
  • On the day of appointment, direct patient and clinician traffic to virtual rooms.
  • Help patients with troubleshooting their device
  • Non clinical chart preparation for physicians
Skills:
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills
  • Background in healthcare and/or technology, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute assignments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Adobe and Google Suite Applications
  • EMR Knowledge not required but helpful

Job Description:

The qualified candidate will provide timely turnaround on dictated report for multiple specialties. Provide professional, accurate and timely response to reports given, emails and questions from providers. Must have own equipment and be willing to learn different specialties.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor incoming appointment requests via email, phone and scheduling platforms
  • Coordinate physician scheduling and appointment details, as requested
  • Transcribe live or recorded patient notes from Physicians, Physicians Assistants and NP’s
  • Transcribe recordings to a typewritten format using computer and audio control equipment
  • Submit transcribed documents for official HIPAA compliant medical records
  • Transcribe documents accurately and timely for timely billing and processing
  • Must be proficient in technology
  • Must have at least 1 year healthcare experience
  • Must be able to type at least 60 WPM

Clinical Social Worker

Ortele’s telemedicine platform provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant encounter between patient and clinician, facilitating management of chronic conditions through remote connected care. Virtual visits are reimbursed by 3rd party payers, much like a traditional office visit.

Job Description: 

The qualified candidate will provide counseling services to ORTELE’s patients using telemedicine, including a secure two-way video encounter. Clinical Social Workers are exposed to a wide variety of cases, with sufficient opportunity for patient education and follow-up to maintain a continuity of care.

The candidate will have experience in mental health and substance abuse counseling typically earned from three years outpatient experience and will contribute to ORTELE’s successful growth and clinical operating activities. This part-time, remote position (from your current office or home), features an excellent opportunity for career/life balance. Our compensation includes a competitive rate per patient appointment and insurance coverage for care provided on Ortele cases.

Specific Responsibilities to Start: 

  • Provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling for patient care over live-interactive video
  • Initiates and completes psychosocial assessments to gain input for patient treatment plan
    • Adopts program specific charting requirements and employs SOAP note (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) in all patient records.
  • Communicates with referring physician and/or patient advocate regarding plan of care
  • Completes all required documentation to support patient care and the level of service submitted for billing
  • Coordinates patient care with facility scheduler

Skills and Abilities:

    • High level of analytical abilities necessary to identify and plan for the resolution of difficult psychosocial illness related problems.
    • Manages workload effectively and efficiently 
  • Maintains knowledge of principles, practices, techniques, and trends in social work
  • Knowledge of ICD10 and DSM 5 diagnostic coding
  • Interest in application of new medical technology for delivery of patient care
  • Desire to work in a diverse and fast-paced startup environment
  • Follows the ethical guidelines set forth by the National Association of Social Workers, and Association of Social Work Boards 

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work
  • Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in Psychiatry/Mental Health
  • Current license in State of Michigan 
  • Certification as Certified Social Worker (CSW)
  • CAADC certification from Michigan Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP), highly desired
